Twins Finish the Season with a Victory

Offenbach with a Very Competitive Team in the Highest League of the Hessian Association

Our coaches and players are very satisfied with the course of this year's season, which ended with a victory against traditional club Bad Homburg Hornets.

The fact that the club was able to field such a competitive youth team in the Verbandsliga is thanks to the excellent children's and youth work of the past months. At the beginning of the year, we visited several schools in Offenbach and participated in physical education classes to look for new sporting talent. The first results of this work became visible immediately. The cooperation agreement with Edith-Stein Integrated Comprehensive School in Offenbach has been extended for another year, and we will continue to participate in project weeks and sports events there.

Next year we want to field a second youth team. The league director's wish is a youth team in the Landesliga and an additional children's team in the Schülerliga. The preparation phase and winter training already begin in mid-October at Goetheschule in Offenbach.

With the commitment of five volunteer coaches, we have an excellent coaching staff with a great deal of experience. Head coaches Gunther and Gustavo von Goetzen Sanchez played baseball as children in their home country of Venezuela. The coaching staff is completed by Dominik Albrecht, Pablo Clara from Guatemala and Lee Yong Sung from South Korea, who also played baseball as children and in some cases have experience in higher leagues, such as former first-division player Dominik Albrecht.

We are very happy to have established ourselves in Offenbach and want to show that baseball is one of the most exciting sports in the world. In numerous game situations you literally have to hold your breath, for example when a runner is on third base and about to score but everything depends on whether his teammate can hit the ball within three attempts. Every pitch to the batter can become a home run, or you can return to the bench with a strikeout. Another example is a fly ball that still has to be caught in the air and can even decide a game.
