Offenbach Twins Celebrate the Most Successful Season in Club History

In a Changeable Season, the Offenbach Twins Held Their Own in Important Away Games and Secured Important Victories

This year's Hessian Baseball Landesliga was somewhat stronger than in previous years, with clubs from Wiesbaden, Bad Homburg, Fulda and Friedberg, and from the beginning we expected close results and knew that we would have to fight hard for every victory.

The highlights of the season were undoubtedly the two victories against traditional club and first-division team Bad Homburg Hornets on their own field. But we also recorded victories against well-known clubs such as the Fulda Blackhorses, Gießen Busters and this year's strong joint team (SG Kassel Herkules/Heblos Rabbits) from northern Hesse.

Thanks to the continuation of the Baseball AG at Edith-Stein-School and the new Baseball AG at Schule am Ried in Frankfurt Bergen-Enkheim, we are confident that we will discover new youth players in the near future who, based on experience, could be used after a short time and would strengthen the team considerably. We can certainly consider ourselves lucky that we have former baseball players on site at both schools as contacts. For example, Martin Kröhnert (Edith-Stein-School) once played for the Dragons Schorndorf and currently plays for the Offenbach Twins, while Sandra Bankak (Schule am Ried) plays for the softball team of Baseball Club Frankfurt 1860. This makes working with the students much easier because they already receive the basics beforehand.

We will make good use of our winter training from October to March (Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the gym of Goetheschule here in Offenbach) and prepare well first for the indoor tournaments of our baseball association. Young players aged 8 to 16 can register for the respective children's, youth or junior teams. The youth tournaments are traditionally held in Bad Homburg, Babenhausen, Erbach (Odenwald) and Friedberg (Hesse).
