Offenbach Twins Take Part in the Biggest Sports Event of 2013

During the “24-Hour Day” sports event, various sports will be presented from Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. until Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Offenbach city center, at Rosenhöhe sports facility, at the swimming pool, at the ESO-Sportfabrik and at other locations.

Out of all the competing cities, the jury initially selected 23 candidate cities. In a second round, Bocholt, Ibbenbüren, Lübz, Montabaur, Offenbach am Main and Rottenburg am Neckar made it through and will now compete against each other in the final in three different categories.

In the category of small cities (up to 25,000 inhabitants), Lübz and Montabaur will compete against each other. Ibbenbüren and Rottenburg am Neckar will compete in the category of medium-sized cities (up to 75,000 inhabitants), while Bocholt and Offenbach am Main will compete in the category of large cities (75,000 inhabitants and more).
