The Offenbach Twins Were Very Happy in 2011

The Twins are very pleased with how the 2011 season has gone

"The Offenbach Twins Baseball Club e.V. is very satisfied with how the season went and with its first participation in the Hessian Baseball & Softball Association (HBSV) league.

After some early losses to start the season, we came together as a team, showed a fighting spirit against the other teams in Hesse, and proved that Offenbach definitely has a strong baseball team that is also capable of bringing home victories.

Without high expectations, and with the mindset “We’ll go out there and do our best,” we entered our young team into two leagues: Interleague Hessen and Landesliga Hessen, and competed against long-established clubs, some of which have been around for over 10 years.

The entire state of Hesse is delighted that Offenbach now has its own baseball club and is looking forward with excitement to the coming years. We can also assure Hesse that we will do our best to establish ourselves in this fascinating American sport and show that we not only enjoy the sport but are also competitive.

We would like to thank the Offenbach Sports Office for providing us with sports facilities and training halls so quickly and without red tape , to the Hessian Baseball & Softball Association for their patience regarding registration and correspondence, especially concerning our international players, to the Hessian State Sports Federation for advice and tips on running a club, and to the Offenbach Youth Welfare Office for connecting us to sports festivals, which has significantly increased the club’s visibility.

For the coming year, we hope to discover many new athletic talents in Offenbach and the surrounding region, as well as to be able to register our first youth team and, of course, to continue receiving good luck and support.
